Whether you’re new to firearms or looking to build stronger skills, this class provides a welcoming, supportive environment where questions are encouraged and learning happens at your pace. Led by experienced, patient instructors who understand the unique concerns you may have about self-defense, this course focuses on real-world, practical skills—without the intimidation. What You'll Learn: Safe Handling & Operation of Your Handgun How Defensive Shooting Differs from Target Practice Proper Grip, Stance, and Trigger Control How to Carry Confidently & Access Your Firearm Safely Basic Malfunction Clearing & Reloading Situational Awareness & Personal Safety Strategies Understanding Your Rights and Responsibilities What to Expect: This is a hands-on, live-fire class with step-by-step instruction. You'll leave with a solid foundation in handgun safety, better confidence on the range, and an empowered mindset for personal protection. You’ll Need: A functioning handgun (or rental available) 100–150 rounds of ammunition Eye & ear protection (provided if needed) Closed-toe shoes and comfortable range-appropriate clothing Holster (if you have one—optional for beginners) Course Length: 2-3 Hours Tuition: $60 Experience Level: Beginner-friendly. No prior defensive training required just basic familiarity with how your handgun works (loading, unloading, etc.).
